The game that flies a little under the radar is a road game at ECU. They play in a solid conference and should be an additional challenge.

Only 2 home OOC games that generate any interest. UVA and Richmond.

At ECU makes sense and leverages former CAA and ECAC South ties. The Ohio State deal makes sense- wonder what the guarantee amount is?

There is a lot of garbage on that schedule. Avoiding VCU, George Mason, and ODU is cowardly.

Men's Basketball Schedule
I think this staff philosophically doesn't believe in 1 game only away series or 2 for 1s (maybe they don't do 2 for 1s anymore) so really the only time they will play a big school on the road is if there is a return game or if it's as part of a tournament when they get other games out of it. They will need to win all the games they are supposed to ooc and pull and upset and hope the caa has a decent showing ooc to solve the rpi and seeding issues that they would have if they get through to the ncaas. There was a year a few back when jmu got votes in the polls and had a respectable rpi and that years schedule wasn't any better than this coming years but it may have been a little more balanced and back then gmu odu and I believe maybe VCu were in the conference.

RE: Men's Basketball Schedule
I was looking at the schools we're playing under the "Games by Conference" and because the first few lines look like one big blob my heart sank when I saw what I thought was all the CAA with Campbell, High Point, Longwood, and Radford under it.

Hope it's not a premonition of things to come.

UVA and Richmond are excellent gets, 19 home games plus Ohio State on the road make for a really good schedule. Good job by Coach Brady.

Do you really think Brady would schedule around the Paul Hewitt train wreck? We would wipe GMU off the floor. I doubt Matt is scared to play the fighting Jeff Jones's either. VCU, that is another story...

I'm sure JMU would be most interested in playing VCU if they returned the game- most to gain from it- had played them well in the past- Brady wants to press more this year so who better for the players to measure themselves against.

True NJDuke. But good luck getting the anointed Shaka Smart to return to the Convo.
