Opening against Wazzu was a pretty smart idea. They've lost eight of their last nine season openers.

Nice job Rutgers. Despite all my comments about not wanting Rutgers in the Big Ten, I did find myself rooting for the Scarlet Knights last night.

I guess you are part of the family now. Welcome to the Big Ten. I will be rooting for you from now on.

Just don't get too down on us when we inevitably screw up this year. But I think you'll find we have a better squad than one would expect.

Yeah, we annually have legitimate "Top 25" quality talent on our team ever since Schiano got enough recruiting during the mid-90s... and then found a way to epically choke away multiple chances at a BCS berth at the end of almost every single season.
