now everyone needs to pull their weight OOC. i think the biggest OOC statement game would be SMU-A&M. after watching last night....... either A&M is that good, or USC is that bad. the college football world will shatter is SMU pulls it off.

lol so no espn headline about thegame (they do have one about the jersey situation but not the game (has one for every other major game)

cbssports has one but on the bottom end of the headlines but has a bigger headline about the jersey situation

Well, to be fair, it's not exactly a huge game or surprise. And while it's an "upset", Vandy was still a team with tons of question marks coming into this game.

Not to mention the game finished at 1:15 am.

It's a mindset UCF set the tone..."Merican" can compete with any P5 conference and win.

I didn't get to watch but about the first 4 series before going to bed, but it looked early on that Temple was poised and well coached. Nice job Owls. Soft spot for them since my sister got her PhD there.

I think its a great time to call out the media for not talking about Vandy's blowout loss to Temple. I don't care if it happened at 1 AM or whatever. All of their pre-season chatter amounts to nothing but opinions and everyone has one.

Let's talk about what happens on the field.

Vandy was favored by 10 and lost by 30. When Vegas is off by 40 points, I'm surprised.

Temple was in the AAC last year. They were actually brought back in under the BE banner before everything blew apart and had to pay a heavy fee (by MAC standards) to leave early to rejoin the BE before Aresco sold the name back to the back door C7 bunch that negotiated a TV deal behind Aresco's back and absconded through the back gate when no one was looking.

Congratualations anyway Temple and Tulsa. Tough one Tulane in a high scoring slug fest.

I would have liked to have watched the Temple game over most of the televised games last night (Including Boise-OleMiss)...Too bad the damn lightning.

That was the power of Franklin at the helm. Now that he left Vandy will drop back to also rans in the SEC. Can't wait to see what he does with Penn State in a new era after that criminal shameful state of affairs that went on up there under Paterno and the old AD and President. By the way I read that Penn State Bowl eligibility might be reinstated in 2015 with possibly all of their scholarships. The scholarship reduction was reduced last year so Penn State may return to powerhouse status again sooner then expected.
