New ushers/event staff at Huskie Stadium?
Did anyone notice the ushers were now all in blue shirts and appeared to be different people than in previous years. The two guys who are always in West D were nowhere to be seen. Did NIU change its event staff?
I will say the ushers were really trying to help and checking everyone's tickets.

Agree...nice having them around and paying attention to umbrellas, etc.

Yeah, might made it a little harder to sneak the booze in after halftime but oh well.

One of the ushers in our section was the same as the past 3 seasons. The second person was new though.

It was a step up in my opinion.

The guy at our tunnel was fine, but I did miss the husband/wife team that had been doing it for a few years. They were nice, and actually got to many of the people in our section. Progress, I suppose.

Yea, I agree with beachboy. I too missed our regular people. They had become like part of our great group in our section. I hope they come back.

The blue shirt guys in the Yard were very friendly and did really well with my son in the Kids Zone. They made him feel very comfortable and he really wanted to be there. They came right up to him and high fived him and everything. Nice job.

Security got new uni's too. My old buddy is still there.
The Yard looked desolate and needs a lot of help. If it wasn't for the HAF tent, there wouldn't be much there at all.
The best west side atmosphere in my opinion, was last year's last few games. Everything was closer together and there was a real buzz in the air.

In all reality, the guys manning the K Lot were great. Very friendly, went out of their way to welcome us and it was nice talking to them about their Majors. We offered them some food but said they were not allowed to accept any. They opened the lot right on time and made sure everything ran smoothly.

Yeah if anyone knows what happened to the guys in Section D, not the chubby guy who looked like Charlie Weiss (though he was a nice guy, too) but the two guys who used to man the aisle near the benchbacks let me know.
