While we're all chomping at the bit to see Big Blue take the field this weekend, I'm excited to announce that ODU Wrestling will be part of the pilot year of the Mat Talk Podcast Network.

I'll be hosting the Monarch Matcast which will be distributed in the podcast format via iTunes, Stitcher (or any of your favorite podcast apps ... or just online). This will serve, for lack of a better term, as the ODU Wrestling Coaches Show.

As an alum, I'm stoked to know the staff has jumped on board with me in this venture. The Mat Talk Podcast Network will host coaches shows for various wrestling programs and organizations around the country. Right now, ODU, Virginia Tech and a camp system called World Wrestling Resource, have all signed on.

Right now, the landing page is at http://www.monarchmatcast.com and shows will start being released next week.

Gonna be tough. My daughter is now beyond the 2-year-old mark for a free flight and getting to the area isn't as direct as it should be coming from MSP.

Probably sacrificed a trip back to Norfolk for a game to cover the airfare it takes to get to Uzbekistan for the Worlds.

Roger that. I'm planning on going up to Troy for the NE Duals. Otherwise, I can expect you in Hampton for January? Any word on the college teams committed?
