How important is this game to NMSU?

NMSU has played football since 1893.
They have a football record of: 429-598-32
They need 167 more wins to break even
If they went undefeated, 12-0 each year, for 14 years they would still be under .500.
They won two games last year. Won by 5 over Abilene Christian, and by 8 over Idaho.

California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo, California was 6-6 last year,
and plays in the FCS Big Sky Conference. Has played
football since 1909 and has a 485-383-19 all time record.

Would like to think this and any football game is important to NMSU,
however wonder if it's more important to the Sun Belt than it is to them. They would tell us differently.
Give 'em hell Aggies! Time to climb back into football relevance. One step at a time.

We have played Cal Poly 3 times 1956,1957 and 1997. We have lost all 3 times. I would say it is important to NMSU.

Thanks, I didn't know they were on The Three.

Did my eyes deceive me or is Cal Poly a seven point favorite on the road? I don't know much about them except that they gave ODU their first lesson in how awful they were against the triple option a few years ago.
