Cotton, our senior defensive leader at lb goes down and the next game we lose to ncsu. Last year, Tulane just plain out hustled us. I'll look for a close game here and give Tulsa the slight edge at home. Tulsa 31-28 over the wave.

Call me crazy but I just don't see Tulsa scoring 31 points on Tulane's defense.

+1,000,000,000

Try 38 points, can you see it now?

While I'm shocked that our D played so badly (and the secondary took so many chances and got burned so often) I'm encouraged that a very young team, with 8 true or RS Freshman starting last night were in a position to win. Actually, we should have put the game away a few different times, particularly at the end of the first half. Play calling, using the clock, and execution can all be improved.

Tulsa is a place that Tulane has never won, losing the first 5 games there by an average of 24 points.

We beat ECU in overtime last year, but we were not the more talented team in that game. I think we were the more talented team in this game, but a loss is still a loss.

Congrats to the Hurricane.

Roll Wave. Beat the Yellow Jackets in the stadium opener next Saturday.
