The situation with Mali is completely different than what is going on at the US Southern Border. First, the Malian officials obviously acknowledge the dangers of the transit and the child endangerment it represents. I don't see Central American nations responding in a similar manner in the offing. Also, Malian officials are seeking European assistance to return the kids back home. There aren't nor will there be that type of cooperation on this side of the Atlantic.

You said the situation is different but then confirmed that the situation itself was identical but being responded to differently.

They have parents sending kids over and are doing something about it.
Mexican and Central American parents are sending kids over and doing nothing about it.

Hence, this side of the Atlantic could learn a thing or two.

The difference IMO is that in situation you have two governments that give a damn and in the other there are two governments that don't.
