'Cuse Coach Shafer Ticket Challenge
Haven't seen this posted yet, however 'Cuse coach challenges to fans to come out to the game, but this was on the front page of sports this morning in my local paper.

Quote:Money Where Mouth Is:

"Syracuse coach Scott Shafer wants to increase attendance at the Carrier Dome from last year, in which only one game had more than 40,000. For every ticket bought for Friday's opener against Villanova, Shafer pledged to buy an additional ticket for that fan." - John Kekis, Associated Press

Wow, Shafer is putting up like $100 of his own money?

I know. It was pretty funny and true. I can't really even come up with a worth-while comeback.

In fact, I'm so impressed that I will endow a popsicle stick fund in HokieMark's honor. Every time VT plays in the Dome, I volunteer to buy VT's kicker a popsicle. Heck, I'll even throw one Beamer's way.

That quote is from the front page of the sports section TODAY (Wednesday, August 27, 2014) and says every ticket purchased for "FRIDAY'S OPENER." I don't think such same week references would have been said back in April.
