But don't expect a lot of pocket passing from Bell, he'll be throwing on the run most of the time. Bolden is cleared to play, but in practice he's played timidly, perhaps from still being so new to the system. A surprisingly well performing group could be the DL. The 3-4 seems to be beneficial for our players. Despite the experience, we may still have some problems with the O-line.
This 'confirms' what a couple of posters have posted:
300 yards (give or take) rushing and 100 passing.
Should be interesting what Bell can do against a 8-man front. If Morgan plays a straight 4-3 with 4 deep they aren't playing what they'll see.
I think our offense should NOT produce a lot of really long plays, but a lot of 5 - 15 yard stuff with say Bell getting outside contain and going for a dozen yards.
I'm not expecting to see a lot of 40 yard tosses (esp. if Bell is rolling out). If we get 40 yards, it might be on a screen.
I'm anxious to see the 3 - 4. Anytime there is a new defense maybe some players who weren't great fits in a 4-3 might shine, esp. a player who has NT abilities.
Compared to last year, I'd be glad to try any NEW defense. Can't be worse, only better.
BTW, I feel bad for Bolden. Three weeks isn't long to get up to speed with a new offense for a QB. Playbook can be daunting for a QB.
