As others have already said, just another reason to hate the Cowboys, like I really needed another.

Having a tryout with the Cowboys gives someone about as much exposure as possible in the pre-season. Someone was watching and he will get a gig. But it is true, most punters area asked to hold for extra points and field goals.

I think that they also like punters to be able to do kickoffs as well in case of an injury to the placekicker.

Another gem based on zero facts. I guess in a bizarre way you like to entertain yourself by saying stuff that is completely opposite of the truth. Stick to the 2 things that you know.

Tony Romo last 3 seasons.
90 TD
39 INT

Less interceptions and fumbles than Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Philip Rivers...

Cowboy hater here but Romo gets a bad rap. Good qb just not a real winner. Solid player though.

He'll be better off if another team picks him up and that's likely.

You must have never seen Ray Guy punt. I saw him kick one completely out of Shea Stadium just goofing off in the late 70s. He mastered his position possibly better than anyone mastered any position in sports history. He was incredible.

Yes, I saw Ray Guy punt numerous times.

If I recall he was the holder for extra points and field goals while at Memphis.

I thought the backup QB usually holds for the kicker.

You must be really old. I don't think they have done that in over 10 years.

I guess, wasn't Romo the holder the year he took over the starting QB job and fumbled that snap in the playoffs?

Yes, I believe he was. Wasn't he the back-up then?
