With bar only about 275 lbs. Hate Smith Machines because they don't work stabilizers well.

Look closer, that isn't a smith machine, that is a power rack for squatting and benching. I highly doubt there is a smith machine in a college football weight room. YMCA, yes, but not there. Looks like the player is getting ready to squat. Who knows how much with the power lifting plates they use these days in KG's, could me more or less than 275? Still a lot of weight to squat for the average Joe and middle of the range for a finely tuned college athlete.

My bad on the Smith. Looks like it might be front squats even. Not too many Top D1 FB players 1RM Squatting 275 lbs. Olympic Plates go 50kg,
25kg, 20kg, 15 kg,etc. I keep over 300 kgs of Ivanko plates, bars, dumbbells in one of the bedrooms.
