They saw the writing on the wall doe. Just like Ole Miss did with us.

Which, unfortunately, is why that team agreed to finally play them.

Sure, always makes me think of UT pussing out against us in 2004. They realized that there was every possibility we'd drill them in the Liberty Bowl so they just didn't play the game.

They are always happy to play us when it's a mismatch. Typical.

Except Ole Miss played Memphis during its prime and didn't during the Larry Porter years, I guess I can see what you're saying.

When we won with DeAngelo suddenly the series had ran it's course with their previous AD. Orgeron wanted to recruit New Orleans so he replaced us with Tulane. Don't let facts get in your way doe

Nothing like seeing a mipisilissi fan biting a line on a Memphis board.

Book I use has -37.5 this morning. Thinking about taking the Govs as I don't think there is a team in America that we can beat by 38.

I'm hoping for something like 52-20 or 48-14. I want to see an effective offense. We have a defense.

With weather in the area a person would be a damn fool to tough this game. There will be turn over only question is how many and by whom. Look at UH last night. Had only 18 turnovers all of last year and 6 in last nights game alone.

In order to recruit u have to play the toughest teams u can! Might get whipped, but worked out well for Howard S. with the canes and then he took the show to lewisville. BTW i think Ripp had that plan, tommy just got his players.

Disagree. I think that changing the perception / standing of the program will do more for our recruiting than even if we played 4 big name OOC games. If we can be 7-5 or 8-4 for 4 or 5 years in a row, nobody will care if one of the wins is against Austin Peay, Chattanooga, etc. It will only matter that we turned the corner and would be a winning program, a place you could have a fun, successful college career.

I'm just glad this wasn't us.

Houston Football Falls in TDECU Stadium Opener

Playing in front of an attendance of 40,755, the largest on-campus crowd in school history in the inaugural game at TDECU Stadium, Houston Football wasn't able to overcome six turnovers, falling 27-7 to UTSA on Friday evening.

Houston got on the board with 1:04 left on Ryan Jackson's 2-yard run.

Texas-San Antonio held Houston to minus-27 yards rushing.
