HUGE shout out to the Golden Hurricane Community
OK, Tulsa fans. Thursday night we get down and dirty. As a Tulane fan, I hope we put a whoppin' on you (as I'm sure you hope the same on us!)
But I'd like to thank, in advance, all that treated and supported Devon Walker when he suffered the spine injury two years ago. Some things are much more important than a football game, and by all accounts, the Tulsa community was amazing to the Walker family. The halftime ceremony will be very emotional. I'm going through a medical crisis with my son, and I know how Devon's mom (Inez) must feel.
A HUGE thank you to all of you that have helped Devon, whether through action or prayers.

I can't even tell people about this halftime deal without getting misty-eyed. Many us are still praying for him and his family.
He is one heck of a special human being. And wanting to thank the Tulsa community is pure class.
