yeah but they didnt always have the stripes. they probably used the chrome 4 times last season and had a block M on them a couple of times. i'll be glad when the craze dies down personally. too much "me too" going on in the uniform wars - another thing to thank nike for.



and the poster above is correct - you cant use a tinted visor in ncaa football. i guess those are just for show.

Me either. Nike is being allowed to use us as fashion guinea pigs. They ignore the official shade of blue (which is darker) and give gray only token acknowledgement.

I doubt that most people would consider chrome to be gray - certainly wasn't what the students in 1912 had in mind. Yes, thankfully, we at least have gray pants which are worn when they don't wear the white or black ones (token acknowledgement).

Do you know that tradition (along with color and pageantry) is a very important part of college athletics and that inconsistent use of color weakens brand strength? Sadly, our athletic department (as like many of our messageboard-junkie fans) does not.

Since our tradition usually includes losing, I think changing up would probably be a good thing.
