How much shine will the Big Bowls lose this year?
Since they have introduced a 4 team playoff I have already somewhat lost interest in the bowl games. I mean, I love to watch me team one more time, but none of the big bowls, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta, or Rose will have ZERO to do with determining a National Champ. And frankly, until the Playoff is all-inclusive I'm not interested in watching that either.

My father is a Washington alum. I haven't broke the news to him about the Rose Bowl yet. I hope he takes it well...

I don't watch any of the bowls (other than the one ECU is playing) as it is.

Hopefully a lot. They are antiquated.

The BCS bowls have had nothing to do with the national championship for a decade. They will probably improve this year, with at least a couple being played on December 31, so they won't really compete with the CFP semi-finals.

The CFP is wise to not play any of the New Year's 6 games after New Year's Day.

I have always watched bowls which, to at least some extent, affect the prestige of my school and/or conference and ignore most of those which do not. That won't change.

They've all lost shine to me the more I've realized how much of a joke they are and the more I realize how the whole system is working against ECU. I pretty much only support ECU and those that are friendly to ECU and that's it.

They are tradition, a reward for players, coaches and fans as well as the last chance to watch college football for the year. I DO think that bowl participants should be required to have winning records.

Exactly my thoughts as well. But more from a black with red standpoint than a purple one of course...

They probably won't lose alot until a generation of fans grows up without realizing that they were once important.

Actually, I think they'll be better than the BCS era. Just because the timeslots are all day on NYE and NYD...just like the old days.

I hated when they would drag games out over a week. Give me a full slate of games on NYD.

They haven't had anything to do with determining a national champ since the BCS began?
