Reggie Bell starting QB
The Morgan coaches are likely scrambling up a new game plan right now. Like us they have no idea of what to expect. Would not be surprised to see them with eight or nine men in the box, basically daring EMU to pass the ball.

Good point.

BTW, I wonder if the Monday game notes with 2-deeps is a NCAA 'rule', kind of like let the opponent know your lineups which is done with the understanding that coaches will exhibit good sportsmanship and not try to game the process.

In the NFL rosters are made known early, injury status, etc. etc. Rival coaches and fans are treated to 'transparency'.

I’ve seen him play. He isn’t that good. He was replaced at PSU by a walk-on named Matt McGloin. I think people are getting their hopes for someone who isn’t that good.

I remember when we played penn state in 2011 (the year we won 6 games). Bolden couldn't move the ball on us. They brought McGloin in, and they started scoring. Maybe it was just us wearing down, who knows? But McGloin is in the NFL right now, so referring to him merely as a walk-on is a bit unfair. He was a good QB.

Hm, I guess all the experts had it wrong, but its a long season, it will be interesting to see how Bell does.

McGloin ended up being a decent QB, but Bolden lost the starting job to ineffectiveness. I don’t expect much from Bolden.
