The game is simple: Pick the winners for each week of the conference game, and whoever has the most correct answers gets to choose my avatar for the next week (nothing that gets me banned, obviously). In the event of a tie, there will be three tiebreaker questions. Whoever (out of the tied folks) that gets the most right, wins. If by some stroke of strangeness there is still a tie... I'm just going to decide based on who has the cooler name/avatar.

All are invited to play, even folks from other conferences.

A lot of people picking Troy to have the most passing yards. I think that's a losing bet. Troy will get their fair share, but I'd suspect SBCs playing FCS teams have a better shot. Troy/UAB is a rivalry game. Because of that fact, UAB will play much better than they normally would. That's how rivalry games are. The lesser program historically, plays up to the better program.

Also, over the last four years or so, Troy's MO vs UAB has been to pound the rock. UABs run defense has never, ever been anything but awful.

Troy may not have their usual high flying tactics with them on Saturday as we break in two extremely dual threat QBs. They will run early and often. We also usually run more screens and short passing routes in our first few games. Some players have suggested we may revert to a 2006/2007 style "dink and dunk" type offense. That's not to say Bryan Holmes (3rd in the country in catches over 40 yards, best deep threat in the SBC) and Chandler Worthy won't have a lot of deep balls thrown their way later in the season.

I'm not even certain we'll win this game. I give it a 50/50 chance. Clark is a good coach.
