RE: Josh Wells Update
ESPN has a section where they project the rosters and cuts- they mention in the Jacksonville section that the Jags staff really are high on Wells but that the shoulder injury may prevent him from making the team. What are the rules with IR now- I would think if they can bring him back after a few weeks that they may stash him there. The Redskins put Caussey on IR.

RE: Josh Wells Update
Sometimes how someone is blocking is a reflection of who is lined up next to them. If that guy is missing assignments, the other blocker can look foolish as he tries to make up for his teammates mistakes. Josh was a good O lineman and was criticized far too much for the mistakes of the o line as a whole. Many times he was trying to block his assigned defender while also trying to pick up a guy missed by one of his teammates. This caused him to get to the second guy late and hensce, a penalty was called.
Anyone who has met Josh is impressed with the person he is. I am root'in for the guy to get healthy and have a great year in Jax.

No matter what frustrations you have with our football program or athletics in general... Having our players make the big time is ONLY a positive thing and you have got to be rooting for him, even though he may have had some flags that pissed you off last year.

Would've been real interesting to see what that line looked like if Matt Krout could have kept himself together and in school. That guy was an NFL prospect as well, and was Josh's room mate. Cohesiveness on a line is imperative to how well they play together, losses to attrition and injury definitely came back to get us a little last year.
Josh also told me he'd gotten a little too heavy going into last season, and while he was as strong as he'd ever been his size had slowed him down a little. That led to some of the holding penalties out in space he was called for. He's dropped 15 lbs and gotten stronger, which seems to have made a big difference in his NFL camps.
