This ^^^

I think this league has at least 5 solid programs who can intimidate any visiting opponent at any given game day... That said, bigger the opponent the louder crazier fans will get, IMO.

I agree with this ONLY because UC is at PBS this year....

If you are using Nippert UC is in the top 3 easily...proly top 2 and it's not even close.

Phil doesn't like ECU. If you've ever been to a packed night game at Dowdy-Ficklen you know it's #1

"This year, they are coming to `The Rock,' which is way better for us because playing at UCF is really tough." -Southern Miss QB Austin Davis

"UCF is definitely the top team right now and it's such a tough place to play because of the team, the fans, the atmosphere and how loud it is when they are stomping there.'' -Houston QB Case Keenum

"There was a tremendous atmosphere at UCF. I told the kids today I didn't think they understood what they were about to get into. It was a trap game for us and a buzz saw." -Mack Brown

Haha. Was just about to post that, Kruciff. There's a reason UCF is #1.

I welcome fans from ANY other AAC teams to provide video proof where the atmosphere is that electric or better.

Based on his criteria I do not understand why ECU is number 1 in the conference. All though UCF is gaining in attendance we still have the biggesr mumbers in the AAC.

Who the hell cares what Phil Steel and his homemade metric says. There are several venues in this league that are very tough to play on a Saturday night when it is a big game. I have seen UC, UCF, USF, UCONN, UH, and ECU all have some pretty damn loud and impressive home crowds for big games. All of these places have proven to be a tough place to play when a lot is on the line.

I think we could all post some video from a big win but it will really not prove anything. I can think of several ECU games over the years where I thought my head was going to explode due to the noise. I am sure several other schools in the AAC have been present for similar games at their stadium over the years.

Our problem is even with 45,000 it looks a quarter empty. With 20,000 it looks horrible. I hope to see that day as well and not packed because of SEC fans.

Recognizable atractive opponents such as Houston and beating them (Atractive opponents) in a very close fought game like this one is what builds a program.

Good game

I remember the 2007 USF home game that had the Bulls ranked #18 beating #5 ranked West Virginia it was a packed house and it was electric.

If USF gets back to that level RJS becomes a tough place to win

Watch the part when White gets intercepted and returned for a Bulls TD

That brand of potato was used to record that? 03-lol

But seriously, what's the time stamp for that interception

It's not about numbers. Case in point, when UCF played at Ohio State a few years ago, I was pretty underwhelmed with their atmosphere. Too many gray hairs and not enough noise.

This is one area where UCF's young fanbase benefits us. Home games, especially night games, are electric!

The UCF game I went to at ECU a few years ago was alright atmosphere-wise and I was surprised to see numerous empty seats. That could be blamed more on the fact that it was a day game. Our 2007 game there was a night game and it was much more electric and even had a flyover. UCF fans were flattered. That game is still the best ECU atmosphere I've experienced. You guys shut down Kevin Smith and pulled the upset even though UCF ended up winning the division and conference championship that year. Can't wait to go back.

2:00 minutes in. I have been to UF and UM games in their glory days and they didn't compare to RJS that night.

Understandable. Our fanbases have the benefit of younger, more vivacious fans (at the cost of the deep pockets of the older fans). I'm willing to bet that RJS is louder than the swamp on many occasions.
