EMU linebacker Daniel Holtzclaw was named to the 2008 Bronko Nagurski Trophy watch list and the 2008 Rotary Lombardi Award preliminary watch list. Holtzclaw was also named a freshman All-American in 2005 and a First Team All-MAC selection in 2007.

Everybody ready to convict this young man, shame on every one of you. You do not know the story, you do not know the facts. You do not know this guy. Everybody, and I mean everybody who knows him knows this is garbage. I have a link to my column in Sunday's Enid News & Eagle and then a link to a story done on the TV news in OKC. Note in the video the woman actually claims he tried to attack her last week while in uniform. A complete lie, as he had been on administrative leave since June.

He's on leave so he certainly couldn't throw a uniform on and attack somebody. For somebody condemning others views for being too harsh, it sure seems your views are way out of whack too, on the opposite end of the spectrum. Just because a guy is solid in the classroom, weight room, locker room and/or field doesn't mean he doesn't have a dark side.

PS: nice to see my original post edited by the moderators. There was nothing out of one with it and didn't need to be altered. SMH

Hardly "out of whack." I know this guy and family personally. There are many facts that haven't come out yet. And I am not engaging in supposition.

Please try to refrain from drawing conclusions and character assassination. Please.

People that commit these crimes fool their own families and loved ones. Just because you've chatted with somebody a few times doesn't mean you know them through and through. That said, I hope you're right, I hope nobody committed these crimes and if they are fabricated the guilty parties get served some justice.

Just for the record, I have done more than "chatted with him a few times." But yes, let's all agree that we hope justice is indeed served.

I wouldn't go that far, Bull. But suppose someone was impersonating him and committing these crimes? And before anyone asks, no, I know nothing about this situation one way or the other and don't know Holtzclaw at all. I just don't think it's unreasonable to wait for more information to come out, myself.

DNA will convict him or vindicate him. Be stunned if DA brought charges with no DNA.

Don't necessarily need DNA, though it obviously helps in the case of the rape.

"He is expected to be arraigned on charges of first-degree rape, rape by instrumentation, three counts of forcible oral sodomy, two counts of sexual battery and two counts of indecent exposure. His alleged victims were seven black women ranging in age from 34 to 58."
