Well, never mind, then. Since I am practically the only one here who sees the term as insulting and damaging to our conference, I will drop the idea.

The "P5" term is bad enough, but it directly leads to people using the term "G5 / Group of 5" which none of us should want.

If I am not mistaken, the term "Power 5" was sort of reverse engineered from the term "Gang of Five," which actually came first.

It's not Power 5 that creates an identity issue around here (though I'd go with The Cartel myself), but the term Group of Five. There is no Group of Five, just a Group of Four.

Quick, Aresco! Change your narrative from "Power 6" to "Autonomy 6" before we offend more people.
