Basketball Post Players
Please list your basketball team's post players with height, class, and which ones are expected to be contributors.
For Southern Miss, all we have are:
Jeremiah Eason, 6'7, SR and Norville Carey, 6'7, JR. Both will have to play alot. They are the only true post players on the team.

RE: Basketball Post Players
We are very thin in the post literally...Our two "bigs" are taller guys but skinny white dude, haha.... 6-10 Rostov (JR) who is coming off of blood clot and was cleared for contact a couple of weeks ago.....He has shown flashes of being a good player for us...he can step out and hit the three but a little soft in post and still needs to be more consistent.....
Other "big" is Ben Lawson (SO) who is 7-1 and about a buck 85 soaking wet, haha.....He also has a lengthy injury list and did not play much at all last season due to lingering back issues...Like Rostov he can jump out and hit the three but obviously needs strength to stay on the court, if he does he can certainly block a few shots and really help us....He played well in a couple of games this past summer for Great Britain national team in U20 world championship but than missed last few games due to back injuries...both are huge question marks for season....
Basically we have one other post player and he is the guy we will ride down low 6-6 George Fant (SR), he is a bruiser and holds his own going up against weak guys down low, anyone with size though obviously gives him problems, but Fant has had a nice career usually averages 11 and 7 will be our horse down low...His backup is a 6-7 freshman Justin Johnson who hassimilar game but seems can jump higher than Fant so he will more than likely be counted on in relief of Fant who tends to be in foul trouble....After that we will be in trouble if anyone else is forced to play in post...

RE: Basketball Post Players
Our best big last year was Sean Obi (6-8, 265) and he transferred to Duke. He was good, but not Duke good. It shows you how few good big players there are in the NCAA these days if Duke wanted him but oh well.
We have a redshirt freshman from Florida who is 6-8, 215 or so and could be decent if he's healthy. A 6-7 senior named Seth Gearhart who is not really an inside player. A 6-6 junior from England (Ross Wilson) who is a back-up. A 6-10, 260 sophomore named Andrew Drone who could develop a bit with more playing time. And a 7-1, 220-pound freshman named Nate Pollard who is Scott Pollard's (ex-NBA big guy) nephew. We're pretty thin up front unless some of our young guys can play right away.

RE: Basketball Post Players
Chris Cokley is a freshmen who should contribute immediately. He's 6'8 216
William lee is another freshmen. 6'9 210. He is the gem of our recruiting class.
Mehinti is a 6'9 sophomore. He was solid as a freshman and should see big minutes for the next three years. Him and lee can both block a lot of shots.
Lewis Sullivan is a 6'7 195 freshman.
CJ Washington is a 6'8 219 pound senior. He had some huge games for us last year and is going to have to play a huge role now that Frazier is gone.
Mehinti is probably our only true post guy. A lot of these guys can shoot pretty well, and don't spend a lot of time banging down low. We have so many young guys, it's really hard to tell what to expect at this point.

RE: Basketball Post Players
Terry Winn - 6-7, 235, FR -- I don't know a whole lot about him, but I think he'll be playing PF. He was pretty much our only frontcourt recruit this year.
Cedrick Lang - 6-10, 255, SR -- Lang is Lang. He'll never be much on the offensive end. Toughness and rebounding and hopefully a few garbage buckets a game.
Hooper Vint - 6-11, 235, JR -- I've heard some fans hoping to see a Frank Kaminsky type leap from him this year. The majority don't really see that. I don't either. 5-7 minutes and 5 fouls. Maybe a rebound or two.
Matt Willms - 7-1, 220, SO -- Floyd seems to think he'll be in the NBA for 10+ years. We'll see. He played last season with a torn labrum in his shoulder. Despite that, he showed flashes, but definitely not consistently. The issue this year is that he missed offseason workouts after having surgery. So, we'll see how much that hurts him this year.
Vince Hunter - 6-8, 200, SO -- I'll put Hunter here because you'll see him mentioned as a post. He was described as an undersized PF at the LeBron camp. He played all right when he was in there as the four before our guards got kicked off last year. He blossomed when he moved to the three afterward. I fully expect to see him at the three instead of the four.
