Our 3 home games with starting times TBA
When will we know the starting times of our 3 home games that are currently TBA? I realize they're TV games and we're at the mercy of the networks, but does anyone have an idea of the likely starting times and how the various scenarios could play out.

I work on Saturdays and need to figure out if I need to put in for an off day or not - especially with that first game (ODU on 9/20). I'm hoping they're night games.

I think we ALL hope that September games are night games!

But seriously, I too hope the times will be announced as soon as possible.

Matt Sarzyniak - who probably spends more time analyzing college sports on television than anyone out there - projects the ODU game to start either at 11am or 2:30p CT.

You can scroll through the various weeks of the schedule (go back to the "Home" page for the menu of weeks) and see his projections for the other two.

Well either of those times should draw a large crowd of non-hard core fans!

Makes as much sense as last year's noon start in College Station to open the season.

In other words even the P5 schools play at noon in the summer if TV says so.

Yes. The TV execs that make these decisions should be made to sit in the stands on the east side of the stadium.

Or, as many of us did last year, in the 3rd level end zone upper deck at Kyle Field. I could've sworn I could see the Gulf of Mexico from there.

TV networks will set those times 12 days before the game. There is the slight possibility that a network can make a "6 day selection" and make the time selection the Sunday before the game (based on results from the previous week), but they have a very limited number of those.
