@Ragu: What? Tulsa's in the AAC?! I didn't know that. So this means....With the addition of the Golden Hurricane...Memphis, SMU, East Carolina(?) Tulane, all left Conference USA for what they thought was going to be the Big East, only for the so-called "big boys" to take their marbles and play elsewhere, & for the media and such to disavow the existence of this conference now as "viable."

We get it! We have an easy schedule. Next year we'll play all top 12 teams and go 0-12. I'm sure people would ***** about that. Can't ******* win.

What I don't get is why fans in the conference keep complaining about what a "weak schedule" Marshall has....

66.6% of that schedule is made up of conference games so it's only "weak" if the rest of us suck. I for one home that's not the case

Who is complaining about Marshall's schedule? I've seen people say it's weak(it is), but that doesn't constitute a complaint.

Houston doesn't belong there. Youll crush those pansies. Or i hope you do. Have to win any aac match ups.

No offense to UNT, but people call our schedule week and we play 5 teams that had a winning record last year while they only play 3. We both play one team that went 6-6 last year. They may have one or two harder games, but as a whole their schedule is weaker than ours. Same argument could be made for Middle.

Dress warm for the Minnesota game, they're not a pushover...Wear track shoes for BYU, you know their reputation on offense...The other two, Marshall should stampede them both.

I do not know about the entire schedule but the toughest first two games have got to be FAU's: @Nebraska and @Alabama.

Yeah (Jerry Seinfeld voice) what's the deal with Marshall's schedule? I mean come on! Rhode Island? By the way what's up with Rhode Island? It's not even an island!?

Marshall will get the access bowl bid if they go 13-0.

Owls year? I think if we can manage 13-1 and go 3-1 against ranked teams - Rice will get the access bowl bid. (2 currently ranked teams on schedule but potential for several CUSA teams to step up) Same goes for LaTech and several others with solid P5s on their schedule. (UNT and UTSA are good candidates too). Will help if we can get multiple teams ranked this year, by pulling off a few serious upsets.

I'll give LaTech the strongest schedule top-to-bottom, but think they may still be a year away from being ready to truly take it on.
Rice, I believe, is ready this year. (so is Marshall, UNT, UTSA). Should be a fun season.

RE: Toughest & Weakest Conference USA Football Schedules
FIU definately has the best schedule in C-USA with eight home games playing FCS Bethune Cookman and Wagner to start followed by Pitt and Louiseville before going on the road to play UAB. We're also home to FAU, Marshall and Rice (whoops, forgot the home game with MTSU). Other road games are two trips to Texas v. UTSA and UNT and a road game to Virginia against ODU.

The first game will tell alot having lost handily to BC-C early last season 34-13. 10 of 12 games will be televised, six of which will be on the American (intererstingly the Marshall game is one of the two games not broadcasted). Note worthy games include Louiseville where we will try to keep a legimate clock for the entire game (I think we should given a more experienced team and the Cardinals grooming a new QB).

If we were a more experienced team this would be a bowl eligible schedule, however, four wins for me, at this time, would give me hope for the future.

As always, Go C-USA !!!
