RE: Terrell
Not surprising. He should be the starter.

I honestly don't think Stewart plays this year. No reason to really. This team should start about 2-2 heading in to MAC play. Regardless of how the MAC schedule goes, I don't think it makes sense to burn a red shirt after 8 games. Let him sit and learn this year and give him 4 full years to play if he deserves it.

The only way he plays is if both Terrell and Thomas go down with injury.

RE: Terrell
Terrell earned the job in fall camp. He played well above the other two in both scrimmages.

RE: Terrell
It has been noted here that Terrell has been the clear cut leader in camp. Not surprised that he's been named the starter. I like that they picked a starter before they go into game prep... makes it easier to give the leader the most snaps during the weeks leading up to the first game.

RE: Terrell
Terell was the pretty obvious choice. He's got 2 years of experience over Stewart and has spent way more time in the system. Would be interesting to see what happened if Stewart did early enrollment in the spring though.

RE: Terrell
From what I've read on this board and from DD in his articles, it's fairly obvious Terrell is the best QB right now.

I'm wondering how much it hurt Stewart's progression by staying at Sturgis rather than enrolling early at WMU.

I'm not saying he would be the starter if he joined us earlier...I'm just wondering how much it hurt his progression. Would the decision be more difficult?

RE: Terrell
Earlier you get here the better but I would rather have Chance as a 22 year old 5th year senior than as an 18 year old freshman. Speed of the game is so much faster than he is used to. In high school the guys hitting him were smaller than he was and now they could kill him.

good call on Terrell, you can't beat experience in a system. Plus I don't see alot of victories on the schedule. I will be another rebuilding year.

^Expecting DB to call you out on this, otherwise we have a double standard going on here.

But I agree with your statement completely. I guess that makes you a "Fleck-apologist"! Welcome aboard. COGS

RE: Terrell
Terrell - Stewart, Stewart - Terrell. Seems that Cam is the forgotten one. Feel bad for the kid. He works hard and looked every bit as good as Chance when he was on the field.

He is still in the mix.

I agree and I think we will see him before we see Stewart. I don't see the upside in playing Chance this year.

Must be a bullethead thing. I said they should be beating for sure the three first year coaches and Murray State. And by your reasoning and constant belittling of CMU we should beat them too.

Glad I can rattle you even when I'm not around.

Idaho, Murray, EMU, and Miami. I'm optimistically predicting wins.

If they win those I believe they will beat OU as well. OU lost a lot, and was pretty bad down the stretch.

I'm not sold on Lembo. Unless he is the Bill Cubit of developing QBs I think BSU struggles in conference. If we come out of the OOC schedule 2-2 or better, and play solid against UT, I think we beat BSU the following week.

Whoever is healthiest in Mt Pee wins.

NIU didn't look good closing out the season. NIU minus Lynch and Stingley could be a whole different ball game.

RE: Terrell
We are in our second rebuilding year, yes. But having said that we should beat teams in their first rebuilding year and a FBS team no matter what. Then there's that Central deal.

I just don't think we are going to be very good period until I see something else. Difference is I am not optimistic about the next 4 years either. I believe in the state of Missouri motto,"Show Me"!

More talent, more experience, more depth, a friendlier schedule, a declining MAC West.

Unless Fleck and this staff are complete morons this team should be better.
