I still have no idea who, where, or what the Blue Hose are/is. I say Huskies win 34-10.

I wonder what is being said, if anything, on the NU board about or game with them....

RE: Game1 vs Presbyterian Predictions
NIU - 31

PC - 24

Opening play: McIntosh throws a 30-yard pass up the middle, gets intercepted at the 50, PC safety runs it back 25 yards. Three plays later, PC punches it in for a quick 7-0 lead.

PC takes a 14-0 lead when Carey pulls MM in favor of Maddie. We eventually catch up, but then PC takes a 21-14 lead in the 3rd quarter.

At the end of the 3rd quarter, Carey pulls Maddie for Hare. Hare brings us back to a 21-21 tie but throws 3 interceptions in the process. Carey goes ballistic on the sidelines, grabs Hare by the collar and wants to pull him. However, he soon realizes that Hare is the last horse in the troika, so he chews him out some more, and sends him back in. Hare then gets us the lead with a 40-yard completion to TLL, and the suicide rate in the crowd drops 2 percentage points. We end the game on a field goal.

Throughout the game and after, this board attempts mass suicide except for the eternal optimists who say, "Hey, lighten up, we won the game!"

RE: Game1 vs Presbyterian Predictions
I want us to win 50-7

won't happen.

I say 31-17

I don't even consider this a game. I figure it as a practice for the team to get comfortable heading into Northwestern

Don't forget the immediate call for Carey's firing upon the first 3 and out.

RE: Game1 vs Presbyterian Predictions
NIU wins 31-17

Opening play is a off guard dive that followed a jet sweep fake. Gain of 4 yards by Daniels.

1st TD is an off tackle power from the 6 yard line. TD Daniels

Closer than we probably like, but NIU opens it up early in the 2nd half. Likely to have the feel and tempo of a NFL preseason game.

Thanks, feel like that game is a toss up. Would rather beat NU than Arkansas...

RE: Game1 vs Presbyterian Predictions
Expectations sure seem low. Maybe they're just tempered because of the QB situation. We're going to have better athletes than Pres at every single position. We could probably win this game by 14+ and never throw the football.

Presbyterian is bad. They went 3-8 last year. They had TWO first downs against a really crappy Wake Forest team. If we aren't winning by 17+ at half time I'll be amazed. I don't think we'll win 56-3 but I would be surprised if we win by less than 24.

But oftentimes we play down to the competition. If the Huskies do not come out fired up for this - or any - opponent, it could be a long afternoon. Not saying the Huskies can't - and won't - blow this team away, but I've been around this game too long to not know what could happen.

This isn't Jimmy Garoppolo and the FCS second ranked EIU Panthers. Presbyterian is a bad FCS team. They were D-II until 2007 and have gone 13-43 since moving up.

Don't forget that WR Erik Lora...that dude was a Son of a B*tch, browsing the Twitter machine looks like he's in the Vikings camp...

Well, against a 3-Win team who ended the season on a 4-game losing streak...

I'd have to say it'll be a barn-burner: 28-27, NIU wins. 03-wink

NIU: 44
Pres: 17

+1 Did he ever give our entire secondary their jockstraps back?
