Sure Mr. Lynch.
Seriously though, MD is making his typical over dramatic troll statements. All indications are that Lynch has a good shot at getting himself a practice squad spot. Jeff Dickerson spoke pretty highly of him on ESPN 1000 today. He said that Lynch needs to take advantage of his reps tonight and the Bears are likely going to give him a PS spot and more time to develop into the RB position. Anyone who is saying that he isn't getting a chance is just stupid. You earn a job or you don't. He's in camp and has an opportunity. You can't ask for more than that.

I don't know if it counts as 'trolling' if he actually believes what he's saying. I think MD just sees the worst case scenario, and then, in his mind, makes up a million reasons for why it will happen - even if the better scenario is more likely to happen.

MD, stop it. If they knew he wasn't part of their plans moving forward, he would have been cut already. Why would he get a shot to showcase himself over any other player that the Bears knew they were going to cut? You think the Bears have some sort of loyalty for an undrafted free agent? You've lost your damn mind. Jordan is getting a shot at the 53 or practice squad. As a Bears fan, if he is going to the practice squad, I just hope this little tryout doesn't entice another team to pick him up. But I'm being a selfish Bears/NIU fan here.

If he seriously thinks the bears are just doing him a favor, it's a little out there. The bears or any nfl organization don't do those sorts of things. Here get a bunch of reps so our competition can pick you up.
NFL is cutthroat. I wish that was the case, the bears were helping him out, but it's SOOOOOO unlikely. I think he sticks around on the practice squad.

Completely agree with you and thought about leaving it out. But over the past several years I have decided that MD is either trolling or insane. I just decide to go with trolling. It doesn't help that when he has really dramatic opinions he decides to post them 50000x...something that a troll would most definitely enjoy doing.
Anyway go Lynch. If he plays well tonight he should have a really good shot at a PS spot.

The Bears 'doing Lynch a favor,' is probably the most unrealistic thing I've ever heard... You don't cut another player, just to do someone else a favor... You're absolutely right that it's a cut-throat league, and the ONLY reason he's still on the team is because the Bears actually think he's a better player than those they are cutting.
The ONLY scenario I could see where it isn't about his athletic ability, is the Bears are doing it for the publicity... But even THAT is unlikely, as the Bears already have all the publicity that they need - there would be absolutely no reason to keep him over someone else that is better than him. He's a great player, and he will earn the spot if Trestman see's him that way.

If the Bears wanted publicity they would've volunteered for Hard Knocks. Lynch isn't getting much media coverage as it is...not enough to be distracting or "worthwhile" for an organization that's worth $1.25B

I totally agree. It's just one of the scenarios that I would have been more able to believe than the 'bears doing him a favor.' But yeah... very unlikely.

Yep. This should be a good night for Huskie fans. I'm guessing Lynch gets to play the entire fourth quarter. Hopefully they have a few solid possessions in there. I think it would be solid if Lynch can get 6-10 carries and 2-3 targets for 50+ total yards.
