There’s a new wrinkle in the Skal Labissiere transfer saga: His guardian, Gerald Hamilton, has explored home-schooling the five-star senior, according to sources.

I was the first to tell you about Labissiere, a 6-11, 215-pound native of Haiti, not being expected to return to ECS, his high school home the last three years, and Lausanne being a potential transfer destination...

Do they have a home-schooled BB clause? IN some places kids are allowed to play sports even if they are home schooled.

Who was that Bartlett kid that was home schooled? Ended up at ole miss I think?

His guardian is messing things up because he wants his meal ticket right now and not later

The Memphis-Area Home Education program does have a varsity boys basketball team and competes against both public and private schools.

Cunningham - but josh made it clear upfront that it wasn't a guarantee and now that he got his PG from Vanderbilt its doubtful he makes him a scolllie

Is Skal able to graduate in December like Jarnell did? Otherwise, it wouldn't even matter.

That's my question as well, is he in good academic standing to do it?

I guess its time for Gerald Hamilton to wet his beak a little. Poor kid is getting bad advice, but it isn't about the kid at this point.

I just do not understand how it is bad for the kid to play 4 years at a school like ECS... get a solid HS education and graduate... make friends and advance socially... and then move on to play major college basketball be it at Memphis, UK or UT.

I've been excited about Skal for years. Now, not so much. Let someone with more wiggle room with the NCAA get him.
