10,000 at Maryland?

I'm no mathologist, but your words make me believe.

I couldn't do this analysis if my life depended on it. My son is the engineering student at UVA and he could so this in his sleep or while watching UVA football. It will be funny if my goofy guess is close to being correct.

Long story short, I do financial analysis on engineering data for a living. Your number is correct.

Being serious for just a moment, how the heck would anybody know? Count the red. Count the purple. If its a 4:1 ratio and if its 40,000 in attendance. Then you could guestimate 10,000 representing the Dukes. Even if half the people are dressed color neutral you could use the same ratio. So, who is willing to do the count???
I will stick with a simple look at the total count at the game. If its a good turn-out, then I say we did our part and leave it at that. The thing AD's look at are butts in the seats and dollars in their bank account, with an eye towards a "W" and SOS when signing OOC games.
If UMD has a good turnout for the game then they are more likely to sign a deal in the future. I think this is what hurts us for doing a deal with UVA. They want to pay like they are signing a deal with the Ticks who provide a 1k worth of butts in seats if they are lucky. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but its my understanding that $150k is all they pay RU. Why should we do that when we can get double that amount against UMD?

I was being sarcastic. I actually think we will have less than 3k, but wasn't trying to be a Debbie downer.

I got your sarcasm. I probably should not have made my post a reply, but rather a stand alone.

For those wanting fantastic seats at a great price, check stubhub section 212, row a, seat 1 & 2. I have them on there of $20 a piece and to decline this week over time. They are front row of middle level so no one sits in front of you and on the aisle so easy access to food and restroom. Also on JMU side so close up view of what happens on side line. Live in AZ so not making it back this week.
