Probably better than not playing at all.

How do you reason that statement?

Even if your opinion of the level of competition playing in Div 1A is subpar, ECS always has played a competitive non-conference schedule. Last year they played against a nationally ranked team in a tournament in Paducah, KY. They also played against teams locally such as Houston, Ridgeway, CBHS, etc.

He certainly would get better actually playing against competition as to not being eligible to play elsewhere. Can't hurt the kid being coached by someone that has won 7 state titles either...

I said "much better". Sure, he may get something out of it...but he was going to be the most talented kid on the floor by a wide margin every single night. IMHO it wouldn't have made a huge difference if he played those games or if he sits out, links up with a trainer, adds 10lbs. of muscle and works on his game.

He'll have to get adjusted to college ball whether he played for ECS, Lausanne, or sat out.

It's a shame he won't graduate with his class at EL or become a McDonald's AA. Even saying that it's a shame to change schools before your senior year. If your family moves it's hard; but what reason did Hamilton five to Skal on why he moved him?

You are kidding, right? Are you saying that unless a player plays at a large public school, they are just wasting their time? Single & double-A public schools and private schools have no business having 4 & 5-star players on their rosters?

Did Austin Nichols & Leslie McDonald benefit from playing at Briarcrest? Did Elliot Williams benefit from playing at St. Georges? Was Cameron Payne wasting his time playing at Lausanne? Terry Tippet is the ECS basketball coach. He knows a thing or two about coaching talented players.

Essentially, Skal is going to be robbed of his senior year - barring an appeal or him moving - because his camp is mad at his former school.

Didn't this happen once before to a local player?

So how does all of this impact on Skal's post-high school decision - if it does?

I think there are still too many unanswered questions. Among those are whether Skal will graduate early and whether Memphis will have a scholarship if he needs one? And does this decision affect his standing overseas?

Hillcrest over a decade ago. Didn't he have an older brother who ended up playing at LeMoyne Owen or somewhere? What was the deal with that? Surely there wasn't another guardian as stupid as Hamilton?

His brother graduated from Melrose, Carnivilous, he was still playing overseas last year.

Nick at 6'8" had great hands, could handle and score it.

Dan Matzbura see's him at a camp and talks into playing with his AAU team in Cali.

He then talks him into going to a prep school in LA, that didn't work out so well.

Nick returns and enrolls at BTW, problem was his mom waited over 60 days to enroll him

TSSAA laughed at his appeal.

Nick bounced around a few juco's and it never happened for him

I'm coming to that realization sadly unless something changes.

I don't get why GP is doing what he is doing either, though.

GP is an idiot. I sat & watched him high five other members of the media when chalmers hit his shot in 08. He's trying to chase skal away because he knows that skal is an almost automatic final four for whomever he goes to.
