RE: CBSsports: Houston fighting, scratching to be nationally relevant once again
Got to include Cinc as another AAC school investing heavily. I am also impressed with their fans. A bunch came to Temple to support the bball team and they were really fired up the entire time.
Temple is working on a Master Plan that should be finished by the end of the year. Hopefully we will do some of the things that other AAC schools are doing. UH looks like a really good model for us to follow considering that both schools are in inner city locations.

It's great to see Houston is coming back. It's also great for the AAC.

Many don't know, but Purdue came after Renu hard. We're blessed she loves it here and turned them down.

The local Philadelphia Inquirer ran a piece at least 6 months ago comparing Temple with UH. Similar demographics and athletic legacies. I hope that we are able to keep up with them.

Yes. Most of our younger posters probably have no idea what a great football coach he was or how successful Houston was during their glory days from the mid-60's to mid-80's Every time I feel sorry about how far Tiger football has fallen, I console myself by considering Houston's decline and knowing that if you can do it once, you can do it again.

Yes but even if nobody was saying it publicly, it's not like its not already public knowledge that every school is looking for a way to get out and into a P5 conference.

Of course it's already widely known, but if our members would stop constantly making public statements to that effect, the general public's perceptions would gradually improve over time. "Out of sight - out of mind". Public statements about "wanting out" do little good and much harm.
