I've told this story before - My kid was very undersized when he was 6 years old and was subject to being picked on. One day two girls decided they wanted to taunt him for his size and he told them he wished the Grimm Reaper would visit them in their dreams. He got suspended for 3 days and that started my war I had with that racist ***** principal.

I agree. I've always said it was the administrators, not the teachers, who are screwing up everything. In particular, it is the people with the faux doctorates (ie. EdD) that have to come up with these stupid policies. Oh, and I also mean the policies that require "instruction" in gay, multicultural, etc.

Nothing wrong with following up on legit threats or responding to signals from troubled students. WTF is appropriate about this kid now having a criminal record over what was obviously a fcking joke. Also...It was a writing assignment. Are we now going to limit what students can write about? What kind of damn education system are we now building that would stiffle imagination and creativity? You would have to take that up with the police department. I don't know why they would do such a thing. Not sure why the district decided what they decided.
