Not usually one to post or comment but as a fan outside of the area it's very discouraging that the Courier's website has put nearly every article under a paywall.
I get it and that business is certainly dying but I only read it for KSU news. Was hoping you would at least get a set number of articles a month like other newspapers (Dispatch/Enquirer)
I know you can "buy" in but at $70/yr online only but that is too steep IMO for many reasons for which probably nobody cares.
I guess I'll try to stick to the Kentstatesports.com website for news/blogs and updates as they seemed to have upped the content since Carducci joined up which is a good thing.

Stick around here and you will get the news you want. Along with opinions you don't! According to the masses, they will mostly be mine.

agree, why pay to read about low attendance when we can discuss it here.

RE: Record Courier
It seems they have locked their own articles while providing access to those they take off the wire. Disappointing as I am not local and like to read some articles here and there and but not enough to justify a paid online subscription.

RE: Record Courier
Truth is, the articles about basketball games are basically the same as you will find at cleveland.com and also kent state sports on line. The quotes are the same, the box scores are obviously the same and there is really nothing special that Moff adds to the article. In other words, you ain't missing much.
I would say this, it is nice to read the feel good stories but honestly, they aren't worth the money in my opinion. As "media" coverage expands it is getting cheaper and cheaper. Some of the new features hang on for a few weeks and are then forgotten about. I could go on and on but the bottom line is give me a box score, a ticket in the cheap seats and I'm usually good. Keep your live in game tweets for the twits that enjoy it.
