Did anyone else know that Jeremy Graves switched to safety?
There's a free article and video on Cincinnati Rivals. Sorry I'm mobile but here is the link.

I had in idea he switched until now. What are your thoughts?

I had seen this somewhere previously. I think it's a good move. He wasn't going to make an impact at WR. Maybe he can at safety.

This. He moved back there in the spring. Too much depth at WR and this is the best way for him to contribute to the team right away.

BCJ is was worth the money to get all the skinny about UC athletics.

I'm pretty sure he lined up on defense during the Spring Game. As many have said, WR is a log jam for the next couple years, smart guys will try to use their abilities at other positions rather than riding the bench.

Second year in a row I ponied up for the annual fee and second year in a row I am already happy I did, and the season hasn't even started.

I didn't find any updates in the interim, so in case you hadn't heard:

Graves just can't catch a break (er well at least not a good one):

Quote:ISU transfer WR Graves out for season; two players dismissed
2 hours ago • Randy Reinhardt rreinhardt@pantagraph.com

NORMAL — The Illinois State football team has lost three players, one to injury and two to discipline-related dismissals.

Wide receiver Jeremy Graves, who transferred to ISU from the University of Cincinnati earlier this month, suffered a knee injury in an informal workout and will be sidelined for the entire upcoming season.

Also, cornerback Dion Starnes and tailback Marcus Jester have been dismissed from the team for what Coach Brock Spack called disciplinary reasons Tuesday.

Graves suffered a torn patellar tendon and will undergo surgery Wednesday, according to Spack.

"He's done for the season. It's unfortunate," Spack said. "He's been injured twice. He can get a sixth year."

Graves, who has two years of eligibility at ISU, sat out a season at Cincinnati because of a knee injury. However, Graves could still have two years as a Redbird after the 2015 season if the NCAA grants him a sixth year because of multiple season-ending injuries.

Good luck to him - sounds like he could use some.
