I refer to praying as asking God to give us the spirit to fight evil.

I agree and I'll add to your point. I believe that if humans can be THAT evil that there MUST be some absolute good that offsets the evil in this world. That kind of good can only come from an all powerful, just God that will eventually right everything that is wrong.

There is a mighty and Sovereign God. He will do exactly what you are requesting. But it will done in His time. However, humanity has to do something on this earth to stop this.

Praying helps. So does putting good back into the world. However, standing up to evil is paramount and we haven't been doing that.

So I saw the Foley video. Not nearly as graphic until the end you see the guy start in on him with the knife ( not even a machete or 'Rambo' knife) then it cuts away (pardon the pun). The next scene is his headless body laying on the ground, hands still tied and his severed head on his back.
Hopefully the description wasn't too graphic.
The Berg video was much more haunting

Fighting evil is not PC. Just ask the nutjobs on here that in reality would have a bigger problem with these monsters than the Christians that they hate. I'd like to see what a gay person would do to fight evil, maybe a hashtag stunt.

Can't even imagine what was going through Foley's mind as he was reading the script, knowing that once he's finished with that spiel, a torturous death happens.

I'd be a mess. Or at least numbed out.

I respect what he did. But the risks were there when you accept an assignment in that hellhole corner of the globe. Evidently, he was captured and held hostage for 6 weeks when he was in Libya.
