Snooze.

Those of us that don't participate too much in social media could care less about a twitter ad.

Put ads on MAINSTREAM media. USA Today, ESPN, etc.

Social Media is cheap (free) and not taken seriously. Anyone posting on this forum could do it at ZERO cost.

Sitting in front of a few computer screens during work, I have ZERO interest in twitter, following tweets, etc. Likewise, I post on Facebook months apart.
It clearly says it's in the sports business journal.

More voting power? A bigger slice of the playoff pie?

Because I cannot see the P5 giving us an AQ bid to an access bowl.

I posted awhile back that on that front, the best we could hope for is a play-in game every year where our champ played the top rated champ from the other 4 every year.

It is about earning the label, not being given it. I imagine a lot of advertising execs and advertisers themselves get this publication. ESPN can sell them ads cheaper than P5 because our costs to them is cheaper. The more advertising revenue, the better the media deal. Aresco is working the room.

Just thinking out loud

I'm gonna say one or two commissioners from the above5 and perhaps a few of his network friends... Mike Aresco did have good relationships with many people in the know before he became commissioner of the AAC, I don't see why he wouldn't be communicating with them still.

He said he still does publicly at media days. That included swoffy and Slive

Aresco is did the right things. Create the story and promote yourself. Ben Franklin was a master at it. He was his own best promoter. He would go out and pick up the paper for his print shops himself, and made sure everyone saw him. Now he didn't need to, he could have it delivered or have someone pick up. But, he crafted the story of him doing the work and he became a self made man. That is what we must do, create the story, do the work and promote our story.

Hey man, I know you're reading comprehension needs some work, so I bolded the appropriate verbage that you convieniently overlooked. Just because the OPer left out business in the bolded line, doesn't mean you get to use selective reading.

Wow, how are you still not getting this? The ad was in a physical sports journal. The tweet was about the ad in the physical sports journal. This was not a social media ad. Your social media rant and your response to Gink make you look foolish.
