I do like that article calls an AR-15, "SWAT-style weaponry", when SWAT uses fully automatic weapons instead. Second,these school cops will NOT be carrying these weapons in their daily routines. They are storing these for use during an emergency situation, which will probably be never.

I'm sorry, but it sounds like this is the better purpose for these schools (especially, given the lack of "outrage"). Anyway, the amount of money being spent is miniscule compared to how much money these schools spend and waste...that would be a better focus of scrutiny.
