Dungy is just bowing to pressure from his comment he would not have drafted Michael Sams. This is his way of trying to kiss @ss and be back in the good graces of the pc media.

Would have been easier to just say "Washington" without any announcement.

I don't agree with Dungy, but I still think he's a standup guy and a helluva coach.

My issue with Dungy, Nance and every DC writer is that the Redskins have been called by this moniker for over 70 years. Only now, with the social media coverage is it fashionable to take a stance. I have even more contempt for the fans in the DC area who lament the name, but still go to games, watch on TV and buy deadskin gear. The NFL and Snyder know this and realize all the fake outrage will eventually blow over.

Well if RGIII doesn't step up, nobody's gonna be mentioning the word "Redskins" come playoff time.

The same social media just that hashtaged their support about those poor girls from Nigeria.

An honerable man would have done the game just calling them washington... someone looking for attention would make an announcement..

It's like saying "Would you tell Suzy that I'm not talking to her" when little suzy is 10 feet away.

These announcers think they're bigger than the game. They were great in their time, but now they're just announcers with an agenda.

It wasn't Jim Nantz who's refusing to call them the Redskins, that's Phil Simms. Nantz, as far as I know, doesn't give two sh*ts what the nickname is.
