It looks like there is a real possibility that the University of Hawaii may cancel football. Apparently , this is one of the unintended consequences of "autotomy" granted by the NCAA to the power five conferences.

If something like this can happen in Hawaii, we can expect similar reactions or actions from other non-power five universities in the future. Buckle your seatbelt, we could be in for a bumpy ride.
