Pfft...go talk to your shrink about your projection dude...I'm not the one needing the ACA to fail and having to deal with it actually succeeding.

You never have to worry about the ACA succeeding.

Quote:Anthem, the state’s largest insurer, initially requested approval to raise rates by an average of 12.5 percent. But the insurance department rejected the proposal and asked the company to resubmit its plan using different calculations.

LOL

That isn't suspicious at all. What state again? Connecticut? Oh yeah, this is totally legit.

Some government dude says oh, sh*&, we cant let those rates get out, so he declined those rate increases. Then he tells the insurance company to use some new calculations.

State: "Dont use expected medical costs increases in your rates. "

Insurance: "If we dont, and those costs rise like we calculated, we would lose money."

State: "No problem, homey. We'll just have Obama bail you out. "

Insurance: "You'll bail us out for a 12.5% increase?"

State: F*ck it, let just say well bail you out for 13%, so you can decrease your rates a half percent. It will make the liberal slob knobbers actually think Obamacare is working."

Insurance: " Whatev"

Close.

It's more like:

State: Hey, we saw that you've got health care inflation at 6% for next year. We know that's justifiable and universally accepted, but we're going to have to ask you to revise that calculation to -7%, and refile. You'll find that your projections from needing a 12.5% increase will fall to a 0.1% increase. *trollface*

Anthem: LOL, but that's crazy and doesn't accurately project reality in the slightest. We can't with a straight face say the cost of medical care with go DOWN next year.

State: Well no sh*t, but we have to artificially suppress these rates for the time being, or the Democrats are going to get smeared even worse than they already are. Besides, Obama will make sure the LOLTAXPAYERS pick up the slack if need be.

Anthem: Alright, whatever. We don't care who signs the check, as long as we get the money.

Darn. Three separate Federal Reserve Bank studies, out this week, indicate that Obamacare has had a negative affect on employment.

Fed: Obamacare hurts employment

And a separate Fed study indicates that businesses are getting hit hard by increased health care costs due to Obamacare.

Your first link is to a pay site so I couldn't read it.

In the second link, I found this nugget:
Quote:Almost all of the firms that responded—about 95 percent—already offer health coverage to their employees...

And these are just surveys of businesses. It's not hard data. Most of the responses are likely driven by fear, ignorance and a straight-up bias against the ACA.

Wow...it's fun to just throw out assumptions to debunk stuff. You guys have it so good! 03-lol

Your first link is to a pay site so I couldn't read it. The Federal Reserve Bank did the surveys and you just offered your useless opinion. I'll go with the Fed.

And just who is throwing out assumptions? The Federal Reserve Bank did the surveys and you just offered your useless opinion. I'll go with the Fed.

Dude...it was a survey, not hard data. I don't trust the businesses offering their opinions and assumptions on the survey.

RE: Another Obamacare Nightmare
Well, lookee here. Seems that if you signed up for Obamacare, got a credit, and your income went up, you're going to have the credit reduced retroactively. And it will be taken out of your refund. Maybe not a nightmare but surely a bad dream.

Quote:"More than a third of tax credit recipients will owe some money back, and (that) can lead to some pretty hefty repayment liabilities," said George Brandes, vice president for health care programs at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service.

Refunds might be reduced

So let me get this straight...if your income increases...you may owe more in taxes? Interesting. 03-phew
