RE: UCLA Tickets
Booked my flight last week. I'm meeting a friend who lives is the area. He said he can get some "good" tickets so I may let him even though I would rather sit in the Memphis section.

Go Tigers!

We won't be able to attend, but thought BruinPatti deserves kudos for dropping in to help accommodate with class.

If you can get better seats, go for it. For the most part Bruins fans are mostly friendly and welcoming (just don't wear a U$C shirt!). Obviously there are going to be some real jerks among any fan base, and sadly we do have our share of ours.....but they tend to be the exception rather than the rule. Usually the result of a combination of youth and too much alcohol.

No need to apologize for jerks - all fan bases DO have them, including Memphis - some more than others. Those of us who have attended games in certain SEC stadiums (which I will not name) will pay scant attention to your jerks. And yes, youth and alcohol overindulgence are major factors

Thanks for the helpful information. Patti, I am leaning toward using the Parsons Parking Lot / Shuttle. Is that advisable? Since we are flying in, the only "tailgate" stuff we will have is a light blanket to put on the ground and a picnic basket.

For my fellow Tigers who are going, this link ( http://www.rosebowlstadium.com/events/de...vs-memphis) shows a picture of the inside of the Rose Bowl on a game night. It appears that we will be sitting in the corner of the far end zone with the mountains at our back. Great seats when the play is on our end of the field - otherwise, not so much, but nothing like being there, regardless. I suspect we will leave with a better appreciation of the excellent sightlines in our stadium.

RE: UCLA Tickets
I'll be at the game. My good friend is a UCLA alum and I'm sitting in his section. Should get heckled, but I'll be doing some heckling as well.

Of course Austin Peay is priority right now, but I can't wait for next week. Were making a trip out of it. Dodgers game Tuesday. Disneyland Wednesday. Sightseeing Thursday. Reagan Library Friday. And a Tiger victory Saturday!

Yes, Parsons is a great way yo go if you don't want to deal with parking issues. Don't freak out it at the length of the line after the game. It is a huge line, but it moves fairly quickly. It is a well coordinated operation. The buses have dedicated routes in and out of the stadium and a ton of buses making the loop.

If you happen to have an tailgate gear they won't allow you to bring into the stadium, you can check it..I think at Gate A or C (maybe both?) and collect it after the game.

Thanks again, Patti. I would say "may the best team win", but for the sake of our chances will modify it to "may the team which plays best that night win". We appreciate your sportsmanship and hope UCLA wins all but one game this year.

Good choices. Sure wish I were going. Another time, perhaps.

Go Tigers and bring home a win. You did it when we played USC a few years back
