FAU uniform modification
Havent seen all the colors yet but at the fan fest yesterday the new Jersys came out.

OLDJersey from last year.

Major changes are the words Florida ATLANTIC replacing FAU on the front. The "wings" on the side shoulders are gone, replaced with the players numbers. The Owl logo is now on the back above the players name. In addition the helmet has a small change in that the Logo is now on both sides. Previously the helmet had the Owl logo on one side and the players number on the other.

I like the changes ESPECIALLY the removal of the wings on the uni sides, as many schools that use Addidas had the same thing which made the uni a lot less unique.

The helmet is a great change. The wings were fine but I am ok seeing them removed.

The full school name instead of FAU, I'll have to see live. It may be a little too crowded with all of that lettering on the front of the uniform...

I thought you all wanted to be branded as FAU? Why the change to the front of the jerseys then?

I tihnk thats changed now. I see more and more refrence to "Florida Atlantic" and I believe the CUSA media guide even has that as the prefered name to call us, with "FAU" being used on tickers and such. The ocean theme is REALLY being pushed and having the "ATLANTIC" represented up front will help solidify that across the board.

I personally dont care one way or the other, but I get where they are going with it. Plus it will help differentiate us from FIU and all the "mistakes" that happen in news casts. We often get mistaken for each other in the media both good and bad.

You're thinking of FIU. They want to be branded by the acronym, FAU has been branding as Florida Atlantic.

Gotcha. Thanks guys. I guess I was thinking FIU.

I like the new jerseys and glad you all dropped the bird wings. I think the new jerseys are sharp.

After thinking about it, I think it's a good idea to use the Atlantic to signify your team. It's short and to the point and no one else in college sports has it or uses it. Good job Atlantic.
