Will you do it again, huskies?
Hey guys. I've been here before. Started with harnish. You see, I love ncaa fantasy football. Harnish killed it for me. I drafted lynch the next year as my starter based on watching him as a backup. People laughed, I went 15-0 and won every game by at least 10 points. Scored over 200 twice thanks to him. Got him again his senior year, went 14-1. Altogether, I'm something like 39-6 with niu quarterbacks.
I don't know ANYTHING about your guy now. Help a bother out. Will he be good? Great?
Hope you're cheering for the Aggies over the vols week one. Would love to shut up their fans. Nothing near the class we saw here, and less reason for confidence to boot. Good luck this season.

We don't even know who our QB is yet! Hoping for an announcement soon.

If the QB is halfway decent, you'll have a lot of Huskies for fantasy consideration.
But nobody knows who is the QB or if they are any good.

Basically, either one of two things are true at this point:
1) Carey is playing a Herb Brooks "me vs them" mentality and making damn sure the QB spot is earned, to the point of waiting until week 1 to decide. AKA making it hard on them on purpose.
2) Carey legitimately doesn't have confidence in any of them, and is telling the truth when he says none of the three has even slightly separated himself.
Personally, I'm a bit concerned. But as others are saying, if there's any competence whatsoever from the QB, it'll be blastoff for the offense as a whole. I'd look more at Daniels or one of the receivers if I were playing college fantasy.

As the others said, we don't know the QB yet, to me that would imply that we don't have a superstar there, even though he should get decent numbers due to the talent around him.
For RB, Akeem Daniels could be a big surprise, he's under the radar right now. He missed last year due to an injury but he's a good runner, blocker, and pass receiver. Very athletic. He'd be splitting carries with a few others though, so who knows.
BTW, welcome back to the board. I will be rooting for you against Tennessee. That was a hell of a defense you guys had last year. Did you lose much on defense?

If it's a PPR league, Daniels will be huge

Im not sure any single Huskie will be great for fantasy, this is as loaded of an offense as I can ever remember NIU having outside of QB, but even if the QB does play respectably and NIU puts up good numbers, those are probably going to be spread out among a large group of players.

Dude, there will great halves that could carry a fantasy team if the QB is decent.

That team that had Wolfe, Hurd, Powers, Britt, and (I think) Nordin to go along with some guy named Doug Free was as loaded of an offense as I think NIU has ever had. 3 guys who played 5+ years in the NFL, as well as Britt who spent a few years on practice squads, and Nordin who hung around camps for a few years. Problem is that offense had Horvath and Nicholson throwing the ball.
