AAC Basketball Predictions
Screw football I'm ready for basketball season to start. Most likely SMU will be the slight favorites, but I think UConn will be the best team come March. I think Temple is going to be much better this year and possibly sneak into the dance. Memphis's roster is as talented as anyone's and you know Cincy will be a tough out. Here are my top 7 rankings - I don't know much about the teams beyond that. Realistically I think we get 4 teams into the NCAA, but I'm hoping for 5.

1) UConn
2) SMU
3) Memphis
4) Cincy
5) Temple
6) Tulsa
7) Houston

Odds that at least 3 AAC teams are in the Dance: 99%
Odds that at least 4 AAC teams are in the Dance: 75%
Odds that at least 5 AAC teams are in the Dance: 35%
Odds that at least 6 AAC teams are in the Dance: 5%

Can't be sure of the exact order, but I agree the 7 teams you listed will almost definitely be the top 7.

Unfortunately, I think Tulane finishes DFL in basketball. Hopefully we have a new AD by then to hire our next coach. The current AD has the worst track record of coaching hires by any still employed AD. He needs to go ASAP.

My prediction- ECU will not be in last place and will squeeze out a few wins against the better conference schools. Lebo will find a way to win these games.

Mostly agree, except I think Temple or Tulsa could surprise some folks. UCF is still a work in progress, but we're pulling better recruits.

UCF will be slightly improved, but it will be the 2015-16 season before we see the talent improvements across the lineup. My guess is BJ Taylor will quickly take over the PG position.

Chad brown Adonys Rodriguez and bj will be a great nucleus. I am still mad we didn't get Owens. He had some problems at home so he decided to go to providence

I still that predictions are premature until everyone get on campus. Memphis lost another player to transfer (Dominic Woodson) who was a big man that they may have needed. I still think that all of the player movement along with all of the new coaches make it very difficult have a good feel for were teams will finish after you get past UConn and SMU.

Memphis lost Damien Wilson and Dominic Woodson...we're adding:

PF - Calvin Godfrey (Southern Univ Transfer)
PG - D’Marnier Cunningham (CC Transfer)
PG - Kedren Johnson (Vanderbilt transfer, sat out last season, will apply for waiver)

That's a net gain, IMHO.
