Hey, I just said we would be bowling, not winning the East. After we pound Troy we have a great shot to open 3-1. This UAB squad would pound last years and we lost three games on the last play including the conference champions.

I do thing USM will be improved and has a shot to get to 6 if they stay healthy and catch some breaks.

East: UAB and/or FAU (honorable mention to ODU)

West: La Tech and/or UNT (sentimental honorable mention to USM, as I just want to see them winning again SOON)

I got what you meant, I was just commenting on the fact this is only time USM and UAB won't be in the same division.

UTEP will probably not win the west but it's going to make a lot of opposing teams mad because we took them out of whatever running they were in. Take Houston for instance, they were on their way to a bcs bowl and we beat them, and beat them bad. So go ahead and take us lightly, it'll bite you in the behind.

I'm a UNT homer, and I hope we do great, but I don't yet understand all the optimism with everything we lost. I believe in mccarney and his system, but we have to replace a lot. Same with Rice.

I also don't understand how anyone can pick usm after they won only 1 game. I mean, they might be better, but it usually takes time to go from that to even a contender. Also, sbc was obviously a better conference than it was given credit. I'm just glad we don't have ulala or akst coming over....yet. I do think it's crazy for them not to be apart of our conference if we are trying to make football as good as it could be.
