If Pastner wins like Cal did during Cal's last five years in Memphis, he won't be polarizing.

For some reason, I keep poking just to if it's who they are. I look for inconsistency or holes in their reactions...lol.

Some are more interesting than others.

Where you guys miss the point is you think everyone should feel the same. Well, some people are happy with a 2 point win over a cupcake. Others are not.

The important fact is that everyone who spends time here wants our tigers, our program, to succeed.

Y'all spend more time disrupting the board than 'bad posters' do.

Just accept that not everyone shares the same opinion and then do what this board is for...discuss. Don't attack and don't stir up stuff just for the sale of stirring stuff up.

If you want to be one of the ones who is more interesting, you need a rebuttal that is fresh and genuine. *shrug*

Josh can get to a sweet 16 because the other team's bus breaks down for all a lot of folks care.

How about getting to one first before the talk of winning a title by 50 points.

Theres not a lot that is fresh and genuine from either side anymore. Same old threads and arguments rehashed time after time.

A Sweet 16 won't change any opinions around here, who are you trying to fool with that statement?

Well we are realistically a few years away from sniffing a sweet 16 again so buckle up for a bumpy ride.

That response was genuine and surprising. Thanks. Cheers to you and have a Good Sunday.

More like a roller coaster ride, don't ya think. Even with Cal...almost at the tippy top then crashing down backwards and derailed..all our accomplishments and wins removed.

Some of us just happen to be OK with roller coaster rides. Be fearless. It's easier that way. lol.

Getting back to the OP topic. I liked Pastner's response and liked what he said about Magee. The guys just have to get used to each other and play. It's August.

Agree response to the question about Magee was good. You could see the shrewdness he rarely shows in that response.

RE: Post game Memphis vs Carleton w/ Coach Pastner
Our kids were getting hammered by UVA last year but indeed finished strong.

In terms of an EXHIBITION game- matters less but playing through is nice.

Some closer games last year looked worse because they got far away late. Our kids were just as close to Louisville late as they were to Cincy. One game they came back and won- the other went the other direction.

The UConn AAC game was pure blowout loss, as was the UVA game. @OK State and @SMU, at least the entire 2d half were too. Really that was it in terms of pure beatdowns. Several deceptive finals. Yes- 4 blowout losses is too much. But not quite as bad as remembered. All losses suck.
