I think it would be news if there wasn't academic fraud in most universities' athletic departments. Very hard to catch and prove which gives everyone plausible deniability.

I think we all know there are any number of athletes who would never make "academic progress" in a legitimate university without artificial "help."

Not at a place like Notre Dame though. Their argument about why they have sucked for so long is that they can't get the same players as many other programs because of such "high academic standards."
