C-USA Attendance
Our old UCF friend Essency has moved on to the AAC, so the C-USA attendance website is no more. I've tried to gather back up all of the information and made a basic webpage at http://cusa-talk.com He did a great job of tracking and updating every week.
Most of the numbers come right out of the schools' media guides.
Rice - I haven't found a source yet, so I used the numbers from Essency's old site.
Charlotte, UTSA, and ODU - I just used wikipedia from the last few seasons to compile a Top 10 (or Top 6 for the 49ers).
For the lists TOP ATTENDED and TOP CONFERENCE GAMES I am also going to make post-realignment lists (2014 forward).
And yes, some of you will recognize the URL since it was the previous C-USA forum before CUSAbbs became popular. It expired last year, so I picked it up.

Our list should have a couple new additions this year. We'll have large crowds for our games against WKU and BYU.

I fear the CUSA numbers will take a hit going forward... gone are some of our bigger members -- do we want to see the #'s?

Great job! IMO attendance numbers are a major factor in bowl selection.

You can go ahead and put in ODU's paid attendance for the year at 20,118 per game for every game.

How many tickets do students get? Ever had any issues with students not filling their allotment?
We sold all our tickets last year, but students didnt use their full allotment for 2 or 3 games. I think we took a thousand tickets away from them this year though.
I know last Wednesday we had 3 season tickets left to sell to be officially sold out.

The death of the SWC and the birth of the Big 12 without the Owls is what happened to Rice . When the Owls were playing competitive conference games with Texas, Texas A&M, Arkansas, and Houston (and to a somewhat lesser degree Texas Tech, Baylor, TCU and SMU) -- playing to a full stadium was a regular ocurrence.
Playing a C-USA home schedule (even C-USA 2.0) just cannot compete with the draw they had in the hayday of the SWC. It will be interesting to see how many turn out to see ODU.

The above linky is the official NCAA data for everybody....FBS, FCS, Div II, Div III, etc.
With the loss of East Carolina's average home attendance (43,985), C-USA's average attendance per game will probably take a good-sized hit this year. Or did E. Carolina leave in 2011? I can't keep up.
With the team losses from 2012, it was down by an average of 4,128 fans per game for 2013.

The North Texas all time home game attendance record is 45,923. In 1997, UNT hosted #22 Texas A&M at Texas Stadium.

Well, if you want to include those non-home-stadium games, MT also has a record higher than ours at Floyd. We hosted Louisville at LP Field in 2006 and there were 32,797 at that game.

I thought they were already included. I don't think LA Tech can fit 43,000 into their stadium.

I don't think LaTech has ever sold out their stadium. I believe their largest crowd was a number of years back, the Monrovians.

I took a look at the numbers and compared them to what UTEP had for an attendance average last season. UTEP was 2-10 last year and had only 5 home games and averaged 28,375 fans. That would be the highest attended game for the following schools: Charlotte, FIU, ODU and WKU and finish in the top ten for: FAU, La Tech, MTSU, UNT and UAB. I am sorry but that is just sad.

September 13, 1997: A crowd of 28,714 witnesses Louisiana Tech's 17-16 victory over Northeast Louisiana University. The crowd still remains the largest crowd to witness a Louisiana Tech home football game at Joe Aillet Stadium.
That should have been a sellout based on the seating capacity of the stadium according to Wiki. Most of Tech's "big games" are played in Shreveport.
Darn, then I find this: Joe Aillet Stadium originally sat 23,000, but in 1985, the school added luxury boxes to the stadium's press box, and in 1989 the stadium's capacity was raised by 7,600 seats to its current capacity of 30,600.

This. Several schools don't have stadiums like the Sun Bowl, and would have much higher records if they did.

Some schools claim those games and some don't. I'll take a look at off site games and see which ones were considered neutral site and which ones were actual home games. If ticket sales are split and not included in a season ticket package then I would consider that a neutral site game.
