RE: Playoff Is A Problem For The Little Guys-Andrea Adelson
Even when she was writing for the Big East, she bashed its members as not worthy of its AQ and etc... nothing has changed she's like one of those girls who clings to the status quo of high school for popularity, even though she's now 29 and working the register at Walmart while those she laughs about are pulling in 75K+ in their own office with a Fortune 500 company. The same old script gets old and the interest in your opinion is limited!

It is designed to be that way so guess you have to say good job to Slive , Delaney and ESPN.

Andrea being a 4' 3" troll is a major problem for herself.

RE: Playoff Is A Problem For The Little Guys-Andrea Adelson
Been saying for awhile now, this is about making sure no G5 school ever beats a P5 school again. They were majorly sick of P5 schools losing to G5, and even FCS. They don't want a UCF beating a Baylor EVER again. All these rule changes, $$, transfers, P5-P5, bowls are just the start of the process. It won't happen this season, but in 5 years they want us buried. D4 or not, we will be buried unless someone does something quick. I honestly believe the talk of legal action, strong comments from members of congress, will actually help, even if it's just a threat (at this point).

Funny thing is, I really don't think the SBC, MAC, cUSA and probably several in the MWC even care. The P5 main 'competition', where the Cinderella upstarts live, is essentially the American. Schools from our conference won the BCS bowl and the bbNC. I'm actually a bit surprised there is not more talk of a American +2-4 MWC schools 'joining' the autonomy. Of course, Aresco says we will no matter what, and we're lucky to have this guy as our front man. That would solve much of the perceived unfairness. Maybe it's not necessary now with only the start of the greyed wall happening... They are hoping that in 5 years or so we're so bona-find minor league, that we also won't be able to b!tch about any unfairness.

It's basically up to the American, and we will either be pushed down, or find a way to stay within striking distance of the big boys. Will be interesting.

That renegotiate with ESPN is just around the corner, as we signed a very short deal. Our first attempt at playing the marketplace failed, so I don't think 'shopping around' is a real option. Just not enough competition for ESPN yet. Therefore, they don't have to pay us beans, which is another nail in our coffin.

Well it is a good thing you're on ESPN good side and that most of you AAC posters love the 4-letter network.

I think that if that strategy is in place they will pick through the leftovers to complete the plan. You can't leave the outliers in tact. I will say that so far aresco is driving the right talking points while staying aligned with the p5

I sure as h*ll don't support ESPiN! They're a HUGE reason we're still in the AAC. They could've helped us out at any time in the last 3 years, but instead sat off to the side while butthurt/fearful ACC schools denigrated and smeared UCONN.

It would take something huge for a team outsite the big 5 conferences to get into the 4 team playoff. Just don't see it happening but they will throw us a bone for the other big bowl games that mean nothing. Just hope they playoff gets expanded such that we can get in.
